Hi! My name is Andrea Nichols Halstead, but the scholars call me Ms. Nichols.
I graduated from Ashland Community High School in Ashland, Maine in 1987, and I hold a BS in Educational Studies with a Concentration in Music from the University of Maine, as well as a Masters in Educational Media Design and Technology from Full Sail University in Winter Port, Florida. I am a GA Certified music teacher for grades K-12.
I play flute, piano, guitar and all the concert band instruments.
I live in Preston, GA with my son Nick and our two dogs Bailey and Kennedi. I enjoy reading, all things artistic and crafts such as sewing and painting.
I believe that music helps improve literacy. I look forward to teaching our Stewart County Scholars to make beautiful music this year.
